To A Wild Rose Friendship Card

Hello, crafty friends! It has been a minute since I've been able to do a blog post, so I am so happy to be back! You may have seen that I've been travelling back-and-forth to Chicago for my day job, but I'm happy to report that I am fully back now!

Today's card is my submission for the #TGIFC219 Challenge. This is my first time submitting a card to the TGIF Challenges and I'm excited to play along! This one is a Colour Challenge using three of the new In Colours from Stampin' Up!, which includes the colours noted below.

This year's In Colours are all so pretty, but I especially like these colours the best! They also lend themselves nicely to the To A Wild Rose Bundle, which includes the To A Wild Rose Stamp Set and coordinating Wilde Rose Dies.

Tips, Tricks, and Reminders:

  • This card uses the Masking Technique for the background in order to stamp the leaves next to the roses.

  • For the coloured rose, the is a three step stamp. I stamped the rose outline using Momento Black Ink, then the full image rose stamp in Purple Posy. This stamp fill the entire rose outline, but I did stamp off first before stamping overtop of the outline for a lighter colour. Next, I used Rococo Rose for the third stamp, which adds in the detail. I also stamped off for this step as well.

  • The leaves are done using only two of the three leave stamps, which is outlines using Momento Black Ink and Old Olive to fill.

  • I used Seaside Spray Cardstock to add a little rose cut-out for a nice accent.

  • Other products used include the Stitched Shape Framelit Dies, Layering Circle Dies, Vellum Cardstock, and the new In Colour Faceted Dots. All full complete list of products can be found at the end of this blog post.
