OSAT Blog Hop | Spring Fling

Welcome, friends! I am so excited for this month's One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop! This month it is all about Spring and my projects today exude just that! I also have a fun technique to show you so be sure to keep reading!

Guys, aren't these just SO pretty (if I do say so myself)?! Hehe! It's perfect timing too because my neighbour just starting selling tulips again so it really was perfect timing so I could add them to my photos to add a little extra 'Spring' in them! It helps that they're pretty much an exact match to Lovely Lipstick too!
Side note: I LOVE tulips!
But anyway, this card is just fabulous and has a bit of an abstract effect. The card front is embossed using the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder which was initially part of Sale-a-Bration, but it will be available in the new Annual Catalogue starting in June!

Here are the instructions to create this embossed card front:
To create this effect, I randomly put ink directly on the inside of the embossing folder on the flat side. I started with Powder Pink Ink, then added some Lovely Lipstick, and lastly I added a bit of Berry Burst.
After adding the various ink colours, I carefully placed a piece of whisper white inside the folder and then carefully closed the embossing folder, ensuring that the paper didn't budge as I placed it on the Big Shot.
After running it through the Big Shot, carefully lift the paper up and out of the embossing folder, and then you should be left with a beautifully coloured embossed impression!
Card Measurements and Other Details:
Whisper White Cardstock Base: 8.5" x 5.5", scored at 4-1/4"
Lovely Lipstick Cardstock Layer: 5" x 4-3/4"
Whisper White Layer: 4-7/8" x 4- embossed using the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder
Other products used include the Strong and Beautiful Cling Stamp Set, Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon, and Lovely Lipstick Ink. You can find a full list of products for todays projects at the bottom of this blog post.

Now did you also notice the cute little Triangular Gift Bag? This little bag is just too cute for words!
I've seen similar ones done before, mostly recently by fellow Demonstrator Sam Hammond Donald, but I rejigged it a bit to make it bigger and changed the closure design.

This completed bag measures 3" wide x 4-7/8" tall; perfect for the small pouch of flower seeds I have inside! As you can tell, I'm really sticking with the Spring theme here. :)
For the bag I used a sheet of the All My Love Designer Series Paper, front and back, including a little bit of fussy cutting. I'll be sure to post a video tutorial once I get back from OnStage that is taking place this weekend!

I do hope you love what I've shown you today. If you've tried recreating this look with an embossing folder, I'd love to see it! Just tag me in your social media posts by using #sweetpaperstudios so I can see it!
