Gorgeous Floral Happy Thoughts Card

Hello, friends! Today I am sharing a beautiful card that features the new Happy Thoughts Stamp Set. This set a full of fantastic all-occasion sentiments and it can be paired with any product from the Stampin' Up! catalogues.

The card elements were part of a Mystery Card Event that was part of our team Christmas Party. Our Team Leader Jenn sent us the individualizes pieces including the card base, the piece of True Love Designer Series Paper, a piece of ribbon, and the Square Vellum Dollie. It was then up to us to create a card using the elements she included. How fun is that?!

It was so incredible to see everyone's different design! There were about 50 of us that participated and each and every person made a different card. It was amazing! So I pulled out my Happy Thoughts Stamp Set and a die cut from the Stitched Rectangle Die, and this is what I cam up with.

I've included the full card details and measurements (Imperial and Metric) below. You'll also find a full list of supplies used located at the bottom of this blog post.

Card Measurements - Imperial:

  • Pool Party Card Base: 8-½” x 5-½” - scored and folded to 4-¼” x 5-½”

  • Black Cardstock: 4” x 5-¼”

  • True Love Designer Series Paper: 4" x 3"

  • Pool Party 3/8" (1cm) Sheer Ribbon: 12"

Card Measurements - Metric:

  • Pool Party Card Base: 21cm x 14.8cm - score and folded to 10.5cm x 14.8cm

  • Black Cardstock: 10cm x 14.3cm

  • True Love Designer Series Paper: 10cm x 7.6cm

  • Pool Party 3/8" (1cm) Sheer Ribbon: 30.5cm

A couple of other project notes:

  • The florals are coloured with both of the Pool Party and Old Olive Stampin' Blends Combo Pack.

  • The sentiment is from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set and is stamped in Momento Ink onto a Stitched Rectangle die. It is adhered to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

  • The Vellum Doilie is cut in half.
